![]() We were in awe of the brighter, more staturated and sharper results from the digital scanner. I can't remember exactly, but it was around early 1997 when the wonderful Fuji Frontier came out and digital took over in a big way in the mini labs. We were still using analogue back then but had a screen preview to correct from. I was later recommended to Duckpond in 1996 (a Professional Lab in Adelaide later to be taken over by Atkins). I started in a mini lab in 1988 that was unusual for the time because they taught me how to colour correct to get the best out of an image. I've been scanning, correcting and printing since the old analogue days when I had to look at a negative and correct from that, before the days of seeing a preview on a screen. Hopefully this little post can answer some frequently asked questions I get about scanning. ![]() Hi I'm Kazz, I do all the film scanning and a lot of the colour correcting at Atkins. ![]()
